Cultural Connections

It has become evident that more and more of our guests are interested in gaining a better understanding and knowledge of the local cultures in the countries they are visiting. The regions we cover are rich in cultural diversity and there are potential opportunities to meet and spend time with communities such as the Maasai, the Samburu of Northern Kenya, the Himba in Northern Namibia, Bushmen of the Kalahari of Botswana and Namibia and the Kunda in South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.

We are striving to make these community connections possible where we believe there is mutual benefit for both the local people and the visitors. Over the years, we have been able to help direct the generous and ongoing support of our guests in the form of donations, grants, time and educational expertise, to various regions in Eastern and Southern Africa.

Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit. Edward Abby
